Camelot’s Cousin is a work of fiction. The story is the fruit of the author’s imagination. Most of the characters have been invented, but that said, there are several historic figures appearing in the book—some significantly—President and Mrs. John F. Kennedy, as well as his brother, Robert, for example. Other real-life characters include various nefarious spies from Cold War days, Kim Philby, Guy Burgess, Donald MacLean, Anthony Blunt, et al. I took a few circumstantial things and created what I hope is a compelling story.
Everything quoted as from a published work in my novel is in fact true—every clue is real. This is what makes the story so fascinating, or so I hope. I have crafted a narrative around coincidence and circumstance. But again, please know—I made the story up.
